Terms
Plain-language terms.
We’re drafting a full license to ship with the launch build. Until then, here’s the short version of how the beta works.
What you can do
Use ReelChest for your own editing work, paid or unpaid. Run it on as many of your own machines as you want. Edit on your clients’ projects. The output is yours.
What we ask
Don’t redistribute the beta build. Don’t reverse-engineer or resell it. Don’t try to break the licensing once we add it. If you find a security issue, send it to us at /contact and we’ll get it fixed.
No warranty during the beta
ReelChest is software, written by people. We test it hard, but it can still surprise us. Before you trust it on a finishing job, back up your project. The beta comes as-is, with no warranty of fitness for any particular project. If something goes wrong, our liability is capped at what you paid us, which during the beta is zero.
Your data
Your footage stays on your drives. We don’t upload it. The only personal data we hold is what you give us when you join the waitlist or write to us through /contact. See /privacy for the details.
Changes
We’ll publish the full license on this page before launch and email everyone on the waitlist when we do. If you keep using ReelChest after that, the new terms apply.
